Preparing for a Concert
When your favourite singer, band, or musical group holds a concert, you definitely would want to attend the event. Who knows, you might meet them in person! Whether the event happens regularly or only once, you may want to take heed of these guidelines so that attending a concert will be more convenient for you.
First, purchase your tickets as early as possible, especially if it is a major concert. This saves you the frustration of experiencing sold outs. Buying tickets early may also allow you the opportunity to reserve good seats. In addition, check if the tickets are refundable just in case you cancel. Most are not, but the event you will be attending might be an exception.
Next, the location of your seat depends on your preference. Would you like to sit up close to the stage? How about in the middle where the sound is well blended? How about in the back where you can get an overall view of the entire venue? Here is a good pointer: in many concert halls, the seats at the back, although far from the stage, have the best sound because the music floats up the balcony.
Finally, be at the venue early, around one to two hours before the concert starts. Yes, you may have to wait a while, but consider the benefits. You can get to the place without having to rush, you will not get stressed, you will be one of the first people in line, you have more time to grab a bite or drink, and you will be in a more receptive mood. Furthermore, you may have the opportunity to see or even meet your favourite performers off-stage as they head towards their changing quarters.
